I've been noticing that I have more hair on my body than I did as a little kid. So do I also have more bones now than I did as a baby?
Signed, Tony

Tony:

Sorry to disappoint you. You may get bigger as you get older, but but you had more bones as a baby than you will have as an adult. At birth you had about 300 bones. As you grow, some bones fuse or grow together. By the time you're an adult you'll have only 206! But, if it's any comfort, those 206 bones are lots bigger than when you were a baby. And they're very strong! In fact, human bones are five times stronger than a bar of steel of the same weight!
