My brother and I have a bet: What's the smallest bone in my body? He says the little toe; I say no way! Who's right? I hope it's me!
Signed, Waiting

Dear Waiting:

You are right! There's a set of three bones inside your ear. The one in the middle ear is called the stirrup and it's only about an inch long! Know how much it weighs? About 1/1,000 of an ounce! That's about the weight of a postage stamp or three ants or six fleas! Makes me seem like a heavyweight!

Signed,

Wendell
