My friend Zack has really big ears. He says the bigger the ears, the better you can hear. Is that true?
Signed, Chuckie

Dear Chuckie

Outer ears come in all shapes and sizes, but in humans they all do the same thing in the same way. They're flaps of skin and cartilege that gather sound waves and funnel them into the ear canal where the actual "hearing" occurs.

But tell Zack big ears are very attractive. And just think, if he learns how to wiggle them, They'll be truly amazing!

Signed,

Wendell
