Forget those hippie-happy rainbow tie dye patterns. You'll wind up with awesome
arachnid-wear when you finish this crafty activity!
What you need:
- An old white t-shirt
- Black and red garment dye
- An old bucket (or one that it's ok if it turns black inside)
- Rubber bands
- Permanent magic marker
- Small paintbrush
What to do:
- Fill a bucket with black dye. Now take an old white t-shirt and put rubber bands in a
concentric circle from the middle of the shirt. The more rubber bands you use, the more webby your
shirt will look.
- Submerge the whole t-shirt in the bucket of black dye and let it dry for 24 hours. Check that
the shirt is completely dry before you take the rubber bands off. When you do take them off, you'll
have a big spider web across your shirt!
- Now use a permanent marker to draw your spider in. Add a bloody touch by dipping a paintbrush
into red dye and splattering your shirt with it. (Don't forget to lay it out again so the red dye
has time to dry.
