Here's a fun indoor game that's even more fun when you have lots of players. But you
won't need lots of sporting equipment, just your wits and word-wrangling skills!
What you'll need:
- a watch or timer
- a pencil and paper for each player
What to do:
- Set the timer for 60 seconds.
- Tell players to print the word "CHRISTMAS" (or any other holiday-themed word) down the side of
the paper.
- Flip a coin to decide who goes first. The first player should then choose a subject, like
"favorite places to go on vacation," "cartoon characters," "rock stars," etc.
- Each player must then write down a word that falls within that subject. But here's the catch:
each word must start with the letters in the word "CHRISTMAS" (or whatever's written down the side
of the paper.)
- Players must stop after 60 seconds. Each person scores one point for each letter completed and
a bonus two points if all the letters have been used.
- Be sure that each player gets one chance to pick a new subject when it's his or her turn. The
game is over after the last player has selected a topic. Then total up the scoresóthe player with
the highest score wins!
