(NOTE: you may need to double or even triple this recipe depending on how many guests
you have.)
What you Need:
- 6 shelled, hard-boiled eggs 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon Gulden's Brown Mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1 small onion chopped finely
- paprika for garnish
What you Need:
- Slice the eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove the yolks.
- Mash the yolks well until they become a fine powder. Stir in the mayonnaise, mustard, salt,
pepper, and onion, then mix well. (NOTE: Depending on how moist your yolks are, you may need to
adjust the amount of mayonnaise in this recipe. The yolk mixture should have the consistency of
cake frosting; fairly stiff but spreadable.) To make your yolks extra yucky, just add a few drops
of blue or green f ood coloring to the mixture!
- Spoon the yolk mixture back into the hollows of the whites in small mounds.
- Top things off by sprinkling a bit of paprika over the yolk mixtures for decoration.
Did your deviled eggs turn out okay? Great--then put all of them on a plate and see how
many eggs your friends can eat in one minute! (Be sure someone has a stopwatch to time this event.)
The one who eats the most eggs wins as the greatest egghead ever, and that's no yolk!
