Ingredients:
  • Hot dogs - four (or 8 if everyone is very hungry)
  • Hamburger buns - one for each hot dog
  • Lettuce
Directions:
  1. Starting about one-half inch from one end of a hot dog, pierce it with a sharp knife and slice lengthwise down the middle.

  2. Turn it one quarter and repeat, so you have four long "legs" attached at one end.

  3. Cook like a regular hot dog on the stovetop, grill or campfire, getting help from an adult.

  4. The "legs" will curl naturally as the hot dog cooks, so when it's done it will look just like a squid.

  5. Arrange some lettuce on the bottom half of a hamburger bun and place the "squid" on top.

  6. Punch a hole in the center of the top of the bun and put it over the squid with the head sticking out.

Now you have a squid and seaweed sandwich!
